DSC_0223 We are done taking Santa photos for 2010! We took the last set of photos tonight. However, Santa Claus will be here on Christmas Eve for children and families to see him one last time before his big delivery. He will be available from 7pm until 9:30pm.

All the photos we have not uploaded will be completed the week after Christmas. We will post updates to Facebook, Twitter, and our website when the photos are online and available to download. If you don’t have an account to any of the social networks send us an email and we will reply when they are ready.

Thank you for allowing us to take pictures of your children, family and friends. Also, we would like to thank Elburn Photography for providing the photography equipment to take the pictures.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Featured on Yahoo!

Yahoo! Home Page Feature
The Tripp Family Christmas Lights is currently featured on Yahoo’s Home page in the Extreme Holiday Decorations editorial photo gallery. The gallery used a photo of the lights taken in 2007 which showed the house from a side view.

Quote Joey Tripp: “We discovered this by chance because of my phone. A little after 9pm my phone started buzzing like crazy because I was getting several email notifications. I was unaware of why I was getting so many emails but when I checked they were all coming from the website Flickr.com, the site we host our photos on. When I went to Flickr I saw several comments on one particular photo. I still didn’t know why that one photo was getting so much traffic. After several hours of searching I went to Yahoo.com and saw that an Extreme Holiday Decorations gallery was being featured on Yahoo!’s home page. I clicked the link and found the source of all the traffic.”

Flickr Photo Stats and Information Update 12/21/2010: As of 2:30 AM, the photo has received 30,220 view and the count is growing by the minute.

Update 12/24/2010: Yahoo is no longer displaying the Extreme Holiday Decorations gallery on the home page. It was on the home page on December 20, 21, and 22. However, the gallery is still available and, at the moment of this update, it has 2,097,426 views and 491 comments. We acquired 72,853 views, 23 comments, and 11 people marking the picture as their favorite as the result of people clicking the Tripp Family Christmas Lights photo in the Yahoo gallery. Farming Country

Santa's Tractor The Tripp Family Christmas Lights is located in farming country and tonight the scents of a farm were abundant in the air. Please forgive us about the putrid smell that filled the air tonight. A local farmer placed fertilizer in the field across from our homestead. While we had no control we are truly sorry and hope that it did not cause your visit to be unpleasant. Thank you for visiting and come back soon!

Here Comes Santa Claus!

DSC_0109 Santa Claus is coming to visit the Tripp Family Christmas Lights! The Tripp Family has welcomed Santa Claus since 2004. For six years Santa has taken time out of his busy holiday schedule to hear the Christmas wishes of all the children who visit and this year will be just as special. Santa’s appearance is a highlight for many children and their families.

In 2008, Joey Tripp started taking free pictures of everyone who shares their Christmas wish with Santa. This service is provided freely. The Tripp Family uploads the images to an online photo album where parents can download and print off their child’s photo. For the second year the camera equipment used to take the pictures with Santa will be provided by Elburn Photography of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Be sure to visit the Tripp Family Christmas Lights this year to see Santa Claus and get your picture taken with him. You can find the dates and times Santa will be here on our online calendar.
